Before the outage: pre-fabricate everything possible
We take the isometrics and drawings months ahead, fabricate spools, supports and small skids in our Brookshire shop, pressure-test them, coat them and stage them by tie-in package. The goal is that field welding is limited to closure welds and that every piece arrives tagged for its exact location.
During the outage: one accountable team
- Field welding crews qualified to the same procedures used in the shop, so no WPS surprises.
- Tie-ins and replacements of piping, exchangers, vessels and structural steel.
